E.L.F. love

Wow has it been a while again. My new promise is one blog post a week ok? Ok! If I don’t have a post by Sunday then please send my angry emails!!

So on this fine Saturday afternoon I would like to touch on my new favorite cosmetics company E.L.F. eyes lips face. I discovered them recently as I have been getting more and more into cosmetics. In my journey into the work of cosmetics I discovered a lot of company’s still test products on animals. Also any company that sells products in main land China is also testing on animals as it is required by law for cosmetics outside of the country to go through animals testing. This made me really upset because tons of company’s use their round about wording to hide the fact that they do test on animals. About 80% of the cosmetics and products you find in drug stores are tested on animals, Rimmel London, Cover girl, Maybelline, NYC.

So I have been looking for cosmetics I can feel good about buying I stumbled upon ELF.  I did my first order online through their website, Canadian shipping is a little bit expensive if you get free shipping its about 10 dollars. When I ordered a lot of my products were half off so it was still a really good deal. They do sell their products in Loblaw’s stores but the mark up is pretty high, I only order online when they have a really good sale going on.

So far I have a few of their products, I will tell you what I got do a mini review on each item.

E.L.F. Essential Brightening Eye Color: Day 2 Night Really love these colors, they go really well with my eyes really pigmented and easy to apply. Good lasting power too although I always prime my lids beforehand.

E.l.f. Essential All over Color Stick Color: Golden Peach. Such a great little product can be used on eyes, lips, or cheeks. Makes a great subtle blush. I toss this in my purse and use it for everything when I am in a hurry.

E.l.f. Mineral Glow Color: Shimmer Mineral Glow. Works really well as a high lighter I use it under my eyes to brighten when I am tired which is most of the time.

Elf. Essential Lipstick Now I got this in two different colors Voodoo and captivating. I am not a fan actually, they color is nice but they have literally no staying power. Which is something I always look for I can’t be applying lip stick throughout the day that’s just not happening. So this product I would not recommend. I do have another order waiting at the post office which I got a mineral lipstick so I will review that as soon as I get it.

I order two of their powder brushes as well, they are great! They are from the studio line which is their higher end line I would recommend it for sure.

E.l.f. Studio Tone Correcting Powder I love this stuff it has four different tone correcting colors blue, yellow, green and pink. I use it under my makeup to correct the color but I have always used it on its own when you blend the colors together they are just white.

The last thing I go is the mineral infused face primer. I have never been big on primer really, but I like this one. It fills in my pores really nicely and help with the oil in my T zone. I would recommend this as well.

I also went to buffalo for the weekend and picked up some more E.L.F. stuff or course lol, I may have a small problem.

E.l.f. Studio 3-in-1 Mascara I love it! Omg I can’t say enough about it. Even Kristine noticed a difference in my lashes when I used this and that us saying a lot she never notices.

E.l.f. Studio Eyebrow Kit in medium. I have never used anything like this before, so when I heard a youtuber say it was a great product for people starting out I picked it up. So far I like it, it looks natural on me I use the wax and the powered to set it.

E.L.F. Studio blush pallet I love this we all it comes with four different blush colors all really pretty and pigmented. Also you can pop out the pods and replace them with whatever you want making it a great travel case. I am considered adding a bronzer to mine to make it a full travel kit.
